Project overview:

Vivvi Early Learning is an Early Learning Centre offering modern preschools that focus on putting families first as well as rethinking childcare and early learning in today’s world. Their mission is to meet parents wherever they are, whether at home, work or in their community, and offer children the highest quality of early education. Additionally, Vivvi Early Learning partners with businesses to provide them with the support needed for their employees by providing them with meaningful childcare benefits.

To showcase their worth, expand online presence, and provide participants with additional support for child care costs (75% subsidy), Vivvi sought to have an easily accessible, functional, and engaging website that clearly articulated their unique approach to premium early-learning programs via flexible Childcare options and employer-sponsored child care programs.. The website also has to provide two different audiences: one for parents who are looking for quality childcare; and the other for employers looking for effective ways to provide benefits for their employees.

As part of the project, the goal was to develop an intuitive interface that conveys Trust, Transparency, and Warmth – the core values associated with early childhood education. There was also a requirement for a strong backend architecture that facilitates the Listing of programs, Inquiry Forms, Location-based information, and Dynamic Content, as well as providing an outstanding mobile-first design and easy-to-follow workflows for busy parents and HR staff that enhance the user experience.

The Problem

Vivvi faced several digital communication and functionality challenges before the redesign. Their existing site did not adequately communicate their dual audience approach—serving both families and employers. Key information about childcare programs, flexible learning models, and employer benefits was scattered, making it difficult for users to understand Vivvi’s full value proposition.

The project kick-off identified the following challenges:

  • Scalability Limitations: Not only did the old site technically limit scalability, but adding new locations, program offerings and employer partnership solutions was unreasonably costly in terms of time/resources to implement on an ongoing basis. Pages took too long to load, were not mobile friendly and didn’t have sufficient accessibility features, which were all significant challenges facing the company as it targeted busy parents and corporate stakeholders alike.
  • Operational Inefficiencies: Moreover, the back office typically did not have the appropriate automated or integrated systems in place and as such, regular users were forced to manually handle inquiries, maintain site content and track their employer partnerships. As Vivvi continued growing at an incredible rate, these limitations were resulting in operational delays for the company.
  • Need for a Modern, Scalable Platform: To meet this challenge, Vivvi needed to develop a platform that would provide a visually trusted experience for users as well as be scalable from a business perspective, while being strategically optimized for both parent and employer user journeys, while reinforcing Vivvi’s mission to revolutionise early childcare.

The Solution

Vivvi Preschool will be re-designed and re-developed using ReactJS & NextJS so that it can render quickly and manage its dynamic content using MongoDB. Additionally, we have developed custom software solutions that align with Vivvi’s operation and created a dual-accommodating structure for both parents and employers to navigate the website in a way t hat is customised for them enabling them to find the information they needed quickly.

Content has been reorganised so that the entire content of the Vivvi Preschool website aligns with the value propositions for all of the things that distinguish us from our competitors (e.g. flexibility to parents, employer sponsored childcare, return on investment, and supports the reduced costs due to subsidies). We created the new website using these value propositions and integrated it with custom built components and back end systems to support these value propositions without any loss in performance. The new website also has sections for product education, locations, employer benefits, government subsidy information, and enrollment support.

We designed the new UI (user interface) with the following key elements: friendly colours for children, a clear and organized layout; and simple user-friendly components that would create a safe, reliable user experience. The site was built using responsive design meaning the layout easily adapts to both desktop/laptop and mobile devices, allowing parents to browse the site while using their mobile devices, while at the same time allowing the HR team access to resources via their computers.

The Result

Vivvi Preschool is launching a new website that will help parents discover solutions for child care needs and business owners source multiple ways to offer child care benefits to their employees (the primary purpose of our business). The site provides information on Vivvi’s education methods, enrolment options, and other helpful resources that make exploring early childhood education and enrolling children into preschool as easy as possible.

The site also provides an overview of the potential benefits business owners will have while hiring employees who have access to child care benefits (additional insights into the hiring process). The site’s speed was enhanced significantly because of back-end updates and custom performance-based software development, which greatly decreased the time it takes for the site to load and made navigating it much easier.

With the new site design, Vivvi has been able to successfully enhance the overall perceived credibility of the brand, by increasing user engagement with the site and establishing the company as an early childhood education employer of choice in today’s rapidly changing business environment.
