Project overview:

For more than three decades, Winning Ways has provided high-quality coaching services to clients in the Washington DC Metropolitan area and throughout the United States, and we are known for our focus on self-awareness, which increases an individual’s/team’s long-term ability to achieve professional excellence as well as becoming the standard in the field of coaching/professional development. To meet the increased demand for digital-based education, Winning Ways needs a digital delivery system that will allow us to provide our clients with online training at the same level of quality as we have traditionally provided through face-to-face training for over thirty years.

The purpose of this project is to design an innovative and easy to use coaching delivery system for our clients and for our internal coaching staff; this system will provide each client and staff with a customized pathway for learning, real-time availability for coaching appointments, tracking their progression towards their goals and providing our clients with the most up-to-date AI based tools for becoming more self-aware.

The Winning Ways Digital Ecosystem incorporates an interactive coaching module that comprises interactive client evaluations as well as protected client dashboards and reporting for professionals and clients alike. Coaching happens via video, with video coaching modules and digital worksheets support for clients as they develop habits can be provided through apps and automated habit trackers. The coaching app contains the entire training lifecycle, from training to assessment to providing real-time feedback to clients.

The Problem

Prior to their transition to digital transformation, Winning Ways conducted the majority of their workshops using a traditional hands-on method and a manual means of tracking sessions, managing progress and storing session data, thus limiting the scalability and creating challenges for clients who require analytical insight (analytics) into the development and engagement of employees on a real-time basis.

The project kick-off identified the following challenges:

  • Traditional Workshop & Manual Processes :Prior to their transition to digital transformation, Winning Ways conducted the majority of their workshops using a traditional hands-on method and a manual means of tracking sessions, managing progress and storing session data.
  • Digital Self-Awareness Program Challenge :The second biggest challenge was the need to capture the depth of the coaching and learning around Self-Awareness/Coaching in an online or digital/technology environment. A self-awareness program consists of reflection exercises, behavioural assessments and one-on-one mentorship, requiring an interactive, technology-driven learning experience while ensuring the essence of Winning Ways’ 30+ years of service is maintained.
  • Lack of Centralised Data Collection : Coaching records such as coaching documents, session notes, evaluation forms and client communications were stored across multiple tools and locations. This created a significant burden for coaches when preparing for sessions and made it difficult to track client progress effectively.
  • Absence of Automation & Operational Inefficiencies : The lack of automated processes meant coaching staff manually handled enrolments, reporting and follow-ups. This resulted in reduced productivity, inconsistent client experiences and limited operational capacity across the organisation.

The Solution

The coaching process has been completely transformed by the creation of a digital management system that offers a digital approach to managing all aspects of coaching, using an integrated platform to manage the entire coaching process. Each individual (learner, coach, and administrator) has a set of dashboards that gives them access to all of the data they will need to be successful.

AI-enabled features were added to the platform to help coaches and learners develop self-awareness. The features of the Application include the following: Automated Reflection Prompts; Behavioral Analysis driven by user behavior patterns and Custom Development Recommendations based on activity/ performance.

The introduction of a centralized data storage system has allowed our team to present our clients an efficient approach to use role based access (RBAC) to retrieve session notes, progress information from training and assessments. In addition, our clients now have the ability to see a comprehensive view of employee engagement, employee performance, and employee behavioural growth patterns through an Analytics dashboard.

By integrating Human Coaching with Digital Intelligence, we afford our clients a unique blend of coaching capabilities through our 25 years legacy of assisting people with changing their lives through coaching and our evolving digital model of scalability to deliver the service.

The Result

The launch of the new digital platform has allowed Winning Ways to continue to grow its client base beyond the bounds of geography, while still preserving their established coaching model (high-impact). The result has been greatly increased productivity from Coaches due to the availability of a number of features including centralized data, workflow automation and access to client records.

Clients have benefitted from a much-improved user experience (through a modern interface), tailored learning paths and clearly defined measurable outcomes.
